the "App.xaml"... I've some questions about it
1) do we need it?
2) it it a file that is stored beside the exe? ... always? can I have this inside my exe?
3) ... ms-appx:///App.xaml ... what does that mean? is this some placeholder for... what?
... I think I'll have follow ups... but, for the moment those are the most interesting ones for me.

hmm... thanks for 3) ... but... about 2) "The file is in the exe" ... after compiling my app (native C++, WinUI 3), it generated an App.xaml beside my exe... and, when I delete it, it doesn't work anymore... so, seems it's loading this file which is outside my exe... is there something I have to change?
It is like WinMain in a C++ Desktop application

well... yes and no... because, I'm talking about a C++ desktop application and I do have a WinMain that is calling some stuff and in the end loading the App.xaml using the Application::LoadComponent function... and... the question is, if that's needed... because, that's really all it does in this case... and you still have to deliver this empty file... or, almost empty file
In the C++/WindowsAppSDK App.xaml.cpp generated template, I have :

then it calls

which mainly loads
XamlControlsResources
(many XAML controls cannot work without this Dictionary)
then it creates the Microsoft::UI::Xaml::Window instance, like CreateWindow in a C++/Win32 app
