What Azure services are supported by Azure Stack HCI?

Hello.

In your document "Common use cases for Azure Stack HCI"(https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/azure-stack/hci/overview#common-use-cases-for-azure-stack-hci),
"Run Azure services on-premises", you mentioned the services that can be used on-premises,
but I could not reach the list of services that can be used specifically.

Can you please provide a list of Azure services that can be used on-premises if Azure Stack HCI is adopted?

In addition, I was able to confirm the support list of Azure Stack Hub at the following site.
https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/global-infrastructure/services/

What we want to know is what services are available in HCI, not in Hub.

I am a Cloud Solution Architect of Azure Hybrid, so I keep this information with me and update it as and when required.
As mentioned by Trent, there are new features which are frequently released and tested.

I may have misunderstood Azure Stack HCI.

I thought Azure Stack HCI was to allow Azure services (Machine Larning, Synapse Analytics, etc.) to be used on-premises.

Am I right in thinking that Azure Stack HCI is just an HCI that can be managed from the Azure cloud, and that if you want to use Azure services (Machine Larning, Synapse Analytics, etc.), you have to use the cloud services as usual?

Is it correct that Azure services (Machine Larning, Synapse Analytics, etc.) cannot be used within the Azure Stack HCI Machine (on-premises)?

Hi @HinataGrape-6694,

Apologies for any confusion. Azure Stack HCI is an operating system delivered as an Azure service. It's primary goal is to extend your datacenter into the cloud and allow you to manage your HCI hosts, VMs and Azure resources all from within the Azure portal. There are a number of Azure services that can be extended onto an Azure Stack HCI cluster for this purpose, but not all Azure resources are available in this capacity.

That said, you can certainly build out a machine learning environment on top of Azure Stack HCI. I was able to find documented steps on how to create a local ML environment that could be deployed on Azure Stack HCI virtual machines - https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/azure/machine-learning/how-to-configure-environment#local.

I am not familiar with the details of Synapse Analytics, but from the research I have done, it appears this service may only be available natively within the Azure cloud.

We do have forum communities available for both ML and Synapse Analytics, so if you have questions specific to either, certainly we can utilize those communities as well.

Thanks to you, I understand the main purpose of Azure Stack HCI.

I know that this is not how Azure Stack HCI is supposed to be used, but I still want to know to what extent I can use Azure services on-premises.

We are currently in the process of selecting which of the various Azure services to use.
Thanks to this, I now know that machine learning can be used on-premises.

I would like to consider using services on-premises as much as possible and using the cloud for the parts that cannot be covered by on-premises.

I apologize for going back to my original question.
Is there anywhere that lists the Azure services that Azure Stack HCI can use on-premises?

I'm not certain of any single document that lists all possible services that can be used with Azure Stack HCI OS besides the one linked from the FAQ page - https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/azure-stack/hci/faq#what-azure-services-can-i-connect-to-azure-stack-hci. If there is a specific service you are interested in, I would suggest to review the docs page for that service to determine how that service can be used.
