I have tried setting up master data services on my Windows 10 laptop with a SQL Server 2019 Developer edition. On the step of creating the database, I tried using my AzureAD account, as this is the user I use to login to WIndows, but the installer returns an error saying it cannot lookup my user.
Has anyone seen this error message before? How did you work around this or how can this be solved?

Hi @Guido de Vries - Have you added the SQL Server instance to the same tenant that the AD Identity you use for Windows is associated with? Is this SQL Server instance running on-premise or on an Azure VM? For Azure SQL Database, SQL Managed Instance, and Synapse Analytics, the following is the start of the AD Authentication documentation: Use Azure Active Directory authentication
If you currently cannot authenticate with the SQL Server instance using your Windows account, then the installer process will indeed fail. If you are setting up this SQL Server instance for the first time, you will need to use SQL Authentication initially and then configure AD Authentication.
