Hello,

Our organization is in the process of automating our M365 user creation process using Power Automate. Our standard users consume Business Essential licenses.

We are wondering what our options are as far as licensing. It doesn't seem that you can purchase licenses through the automation offered through PA so we would need to have at least one license available to assign in order for the automation process to work. Is there a way to have a pool of licenses available to assign but only pay for the license when they're actually assigned? Or a subscription where you have a pool of licenses but pay for the licenses that are consumed each month? If not, are there any options outside of individually purchasing licenses? That would defeat the purpose of the automation after all.

I don't think we have enough licenses to qualify for volume licensing so I'd like to know what other options are out there. Thank you in advance!

    As of now, based on my best of knowledge, there is no API available for you to purchase licenses.

    The nearest option I could think is to reach out to indirect / direct resellers (Microsoft Partners), as I believe they have API access. I would recommend you to reachout to a Microsoft Partner and ask about this API feature.
