Microsoft Office 365 plan support for SharePoint Online hybrid implmentation

We are planning to implement SharePoint hybrid environment. We've SharePoint 2019 on premises and Microsoft 365 A5 plan, SharePoint Online is part of subscription.

I am looking for suggestion that if our existing Microsoft 365 A5 supports SharePoint hybrid otherwise which Microsoft Office 365 plan supports hybrid implementation.

All SharePoint hybrid scenarios require an Enterprise plan that includes SharePoint in Microsoft 365, such as Office 365 E1(supports Display hybrid federated search results in SharePoint Server only),E3,E4 and so on.

@JulieWang-MSFT Thanks for your response. Does it mean SharePoint hybrid deployment is covered only for E1, E3, E4 and E5? OR the all the enterprise plans for education & government sectors i.e. A5 and G5 are also supported for SharePoint hybrid deployments.

In summary please confirm if Microsoft 365 A5 supports SharePoint hybrid deployment.

Thanks for update @JulieWang-MSFT . What is the option there for other subscriptions like Education or Government to deploy SharePoint hybrid solution?
Can we purchase few additional enterprise license for deployment of SharePoint hybrid while keeping A5 licenses for users to use hybrid features? If yes, What is the minimum no. of enterprise license require to deploy SharePoint hybrid?

There is no such license that can be added separately based on the Education subscription to achieve SharePoint hybrid environment.

You need to purchase the supported enterprise plan and switch the plan.

@Trevor Seward , @JulieWang-MSFT We have an educational institute that suits A5 licenses as it includes free students license. Is there any other way to implement SharePoint hybrid environment without switching plan.

Per my knowledge it is not possible to achieve this without switching plans.

As per Microsoft Support for Education Sector:

If subscription is under CSP doesn’t have hybrid Sharepoint benefit.

If subscription is through EES/Campus Agreement, then they have right to implement SharePoint Hybrid Solution.
