Have set up VPN from Windows 10 to Azure Stack SDK and can connect, but times out when trying to load adminportal.local.azurestack.external

Hi --

This has been driving me nuts for several days now. I have installed an Azure Stack SDK on a Windows Server 2019 machine. Passes all the tests and I can load the admin portal on the SDK host machine itself. (I have done this multiple times, and am following the instructions to the letter.) From a windows 10 machine I have successfully set up a VPN to the SDK host machine and can connect. I have also exported the AzureStackSelfSignedRootCert from the SDK host and imported it into Trusted Root Certification Authorities. But when I try to load the adminportal.local.azurestack.external site from my Windows 10 brower, it always times out.

I used to have this working, but then reinstalled my Windows 10 OS and subsequently reinstalled Azure Stack SDK on the Dell PowerEdge machine. I can't remember what I originally did to get this working. This is really a serious showstopper and I'm running out of time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Mike

Figured it out. It was a DNS issue. I needed to specify the DNS server on the underlying connection. Once I did this there was no problem. I want my four days back :) !
