Why are my backup jobs so slow?

Ive got around 10 different Resource groups. In each group there are around 10 VMs. Each group contains one Recovery service vault which contains these 10 VMs.
Now I have backupwindows in the night for around 2-3 hours. And I have to start all of them at the same time. Now some of them have up to 5 hours till they are backuped.

My VMs do not contain any data, so Im just backing up the hole VMs each night.
Can you tell me where the bottle neck is or what Im probably doing wrong?
I cant imagine that those jobs would take up to 5 hours for each VM.

For example I just started a backup for an VM which has around 800 MB to backup. And its now working since around 50 minutes....
Update: my manually activated backup took 55 minutes... the same automatic backup took 5 hours and 10 mins

@Jim Sorry for the inconvenience this must have caused.
We need to understand:

The type of workloads being run on these VMs

Churn rate

Whether it is a backup of SQL Server on Azure VM .... etc....

IMO, this issue can be better handled by Azure technical support team over a phone call. I recommend you reach out to Azure support by raising a technical support request using this link - https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue.

Workload: Just some applications which aren't used at night. Workload in total is really low.(10-20%)
Churn rate:Im sorry I dont know what this means and I cant translate it to my language without context.... :(
Its just a backup of my VMs there are no DB or any File-Systems just some Applications with a couple of pictures(30-50) pics of 10-20MB and configfiles.(Digital Signage Software)

This night I monitored our backups a bit better and I discovered something interesting:

Im not sure if the monitoring data is true but these were my resuls:
The Snapshot is taken after around 10-20 Minutes, after this it takes around 4 hours till the backup data is stored in to the vault.
I would be totally fine if thats the case.

Is there a way to monitor my backup a bit better in azure?
I want to know following times per task:
(atm I just see if the task is completed)

Take snapshot
Transfer data to vault

@Jim Snapshot data might not be immediately copied to the vault. At peak times, the backup might take some hours. Total backup time for a VM will be less than 24 hours for daily backup policies. See the image below. Reference link - Azure VM architecture

For monitoring backups you can use Azure monitor or write a log analytics query as mentioned by Kamalakar here.
