I had to create a Business account with MS, so I could use Power BI (to teach myself Power BI) and somehow my company's domain is registered with Azure AD. I need to reclaim it as we don't have anything going on with Active Directory.

You should be able to go into Azure AD and go to the "Custom Domain Names" section. This will show all the custom domains linked to your tenant and allow you to remove them.

Once you remove from the custom domain in Azure AD, also remove the entries or record details where you initially updated while registering the custom domain in Azure.

    Thanks,Ravi

    Hello @Power BI Developer ,

In case you were able to fix the issues with instructions from the answers provided by removing custom domain then the following details may not apply. Hence this post is in addition to what is already provided above. But there is one more scenario which could cause this. If you do not have anything setup with Azure Active directory then in all probability your domain was used by someone from your organisation to signup for any service like powerBI , dynamics etc. where signup process can automatically use the domain suffix of the person signing up for the service for the first time. Most Microsoft services require the active directory associated with them for Identity & access management and collaboration features within the service. In this case it is an unmanaged domain which you can take over by following certain steps as stated in the admin takeover article. You can check this article which may be relevant to your scenario as per the description you have provided. You would require to install Azure AD powershell on your windows machine in order to complete this.

Hope this helps. Please accept the one of the post as answer whichever helped you fix the issue and was most relevant so that it can help other members of the community with same issues. If you still have queries , do let us know with the error screenshots and we will continue to help you on this.

    Thank you.
