Hi,

I am wondering if anyone used the URLGenie management pack below?

I try to setup and monitor few URL for testing, but I am getting the error below.

Please advise if you know any step I may missed.

Hi @Chan, Johnny ,

The URLGenie Status Code Monitor auto targets all standard URLs and will alert if an endpoint returns a status code beyond the specified threshold.

What threshold have you specified?

Or what is it you are looking to achieve?

Based on my tests the URLGenie management pack works as it should, I haven't had any issues.

Thank you for your reply.

I did not specified any threshold, I only used all the default setting. For now, I only want to test if the URL page can be load or not (online or offline).

Please let me know if you see any problem.

Based on my test, the URL monitoring working well in my lab:

From the state change events you provided, it seems the state changes between healthy and critical. Could you let us know if we can access the website when the state is critical?

Yes, I am able to access the website even the state is critical. Do we need to create any rules at firewall?

For the rules on the firewall, I didn't find it mentioned in the URLGenie MP document. From the picture you provided, it seems the website is accessible. Could you confirm what is the Watch node we set? Was the website test performed on the watch node?

Yes, I use the management server as the watch node and that's the server access the website.

Found the issue that SCOM server was setup proxy connection. After resetting it, everything works.

CMD -> netsh winhttp show proxy (Should show Direct access)

Reset the proxy setting

CMD -> netsh winhttp reset proxy

Now I have some question when I add a new NTLM website to monitor. Do you know if we can use the same basic authorize account to monitor more than 1 NTLM URL? I try added the same user under the URLGenie Standard Monitor Profile to monitor a new URL. It will remove my previous NTLM URL monitor. Do you have the steps how to add a new NTLM URL? Can we use the same user account for multi NTLM URL?

Please advise.

@JohnnyChan-4955 Would like to confirm if we use the same steps under "Use NTLM Authentication" steps in the URLGenie MP guide? Did we enter <authuser>and <authenticationscheme> in config fiel for every URl that need NTLM?
