What's the type of your account using in Outlook 2019 (POP, IMAP, Exchange)?

I am trying to retell your issue: there might be some emails that you need in your .pst file, so you want to import it to your email account in Outlook 2019. However, the Inbox just kept synchronizing during this process, right?

If this is your case, did any error prompts show up when the issue happened? And have all the emails in the .pst file already been imported to your mailbox successfully? As I know, importing emails would cause the inconsistencies between server and client data, then the Outlook client would automatically sync the difference with the mail server. The More data you imported, and the more time the sync would take. So, if possible, please try to create a new .pst file with few items and then import it to see if the issue has any difference.

As I know, corrupted Outlook datafiles may cause sync issues such as not completed after long hours. To ensure if the issue is related to the .pst file you imported, please check if you can successfully open this PST file in Outlook and see the emails in it. It is also suggested for you to try to import the same PST file to other Outlook clients and see if the issue could be reproduced.

Besides, if the data file of your local email account is corrupted, issues like this may also happen. It is suggested to create a new profile(Control Panel>Mail>Show Profiles>Add), re-add your account and then import the .pst file again after the completion of first sync. For avoiding the duplicates, please choose the "Do not import duplicates" option before you import the file.

Follow up flag does not showing more option like tomorrow , etc

If you are using IMAP account, the issue may be by design and have no way to enable it. As a workaround, you can try to drag the message to the Task folder to create a task, then you could set a reminder for your message.

If this is not your case, please show me more infomation about your issue and I would provide you with more targeted help.

Any update, please feel free to post back.
