Hello,

Below are few questions related to Microsoft’s SQL Server 2012 MDS & it’s excel Add-in, Please redirect this request to the correct team in case you are not the right contact.

We are using SQL Server 2012 MDS and it’s excel add-in for maintaining our organization’s data. Recently we came across situation where we found that the timestamp that is being saved in database through MDS UI or MDS Excel Add-in is using UTC time zone instead of server’s time zone i.e. EST. So, I just wanted to know if it is possible to change the time zone for the data that is being saved through MDS UI or Excel Add -In.

Apart from it, I also wanted to know if there is a way to change the sorting order of the dropdown field in MDS Excel add-In through code or something else . Please note that in MDS UI , the same dropdown field is present in a sorted order based on some codes(business codes) whereas in case of MDS Excel Add -in , it is present in the sorted order but based on the name.

Request you to please share your insights and confirm the feasibility of the above two requirements.

Please let me know if more details are required for the same.
