Audit for Unlicensed SharePoint users

We use SharePoint to allow our customers to view and upload documents, but their access does not include a license. We want to monitor who is active and who is not so that we can deactivate, and potentially remove, inactive accounts.

I've been unable to find any information on how to accomplish this. Any help you could provide would be appreciated!

    The users without licenses you mentioned should belong to external users.

    We can create a report through power shell to see how many external users in your tenant.

    The problem we are experiencing is not tracking of External Users it is of tracing users without a Microsoft License.

    The solutions you suggested are to track External users, and that is not the issue.

    We need to track users without a license as my initial question very specifically stated.
