We having a problem with Windows 10 devices connecting to WiFi networks that use WPA2 Enterprise authentication. We are using Microsoft NPS servers and have Xirrus accespoints and controller. We deploy different SSID and also eduroam.

When we select a wireless network and hit connect it prompts for a username and password. But when typing the credentials both fields get automatically cleared if it’s not completely typed and hit connect. If we type first the username and password in notepad for example and copy past them into the logon box then it connects fine. There seems to be some timeout which seems to be about 30 seconds, but cannot find where this timeout is controlled or where I can change this. The problem occurs on all windows 10 devices and all windows versions and builds, also on every device brand or model.

Hope someone has the same problem and fixed it;)

Thanks

    Hi ,

Thanks for posting in Q&A platform.

Please understand, due to the environmental limitation, we have no such WiFi device to test in our lab. It is hard for us to reproduce and analyze this issue from Q&A platform support level.

For such timeout issue, we need to analyze network traffic to find the cause. However, analysis of network traffic is beyond Q&A support level.

If your issue is urgent, I would suggest you open a case with Microsoft where more in-depth investigation can be done so that you would get a more satisfying explanation and solution to this issue.

Also,in this way ,they can have a clear picture about your issue and your environment by phone communication and live share session.

You may find phone number for your region accordingly from the link below:

    Best Regards,
