One of our Azure architect requesting another subscription with ER for test and development. Is this common practice? what is best practice? I looked Microsoft documents, but did not find any best practice documents about this...

    Hi,

Ideally, you will not need a test ER. Since your current ER is already in PROD and based on your scenario you might or might not need a test ER.

If you are trying to achieve a scenario where it might affect the QOS or the functionality of your PROD ER, then yes, we need a test ER.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks Karthik Srinivas. I agree, second ER is not needed, If we use existing prod. ER, but crate a second subscription with separate gateway for test/development, is this common and is this best practice?
