How do you migrate SSMS 18 projects to Visual Studio 2019? We want to include them in our Git repository for source control.

Not clear to your question. Are you talking about the database projects using SSDT? This way you can include them in the GIT repository for source control.
We have database projects in SSMS. We would like to import them to Visual Studio to use them with SSDT.
I do not see there is a direct way to import a SSMS project (.ssmssqlproj) to SSDT database project. I would try to create a database project in SSDT and then import all script files (.sql) in the SSMS project by clicking Add --> Existing Item.
