Hello, I have configured Windows Update for Business with SCCM 2006 and deployed a WUfB policy to a test machine. When checking a client machine, the Windows Update notification it is set to off in Advanced Options. Just curious where the update notifications are managed? I thought maybe they would still be handled by the SCCM Client Policy but maybe this is no longer the case?

    @SC_OC
    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
    The Computer restart client settings change the user experience for all required deployments that require a restart like this article said.
    For wufb, CM do not actually deploy the updates to clients. So you may need a group policy to configure the notification:
    Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Turn off auto-restart notifications for update installations.
    Click Enabled to disable notifications.
    Click Not configured or Disabled to enable notifications.

    In addition to @AllenLiu-MSFT 's answer, keep in mind that, unfortunately, not all of the configurable options for WUfB are available directly in ConfigMgr. Some are only available using group policy or an MDM-based CSP.

    Have you considered using co-management and enabling WUfB that way?

    My apologies, yes i started looking into using co-management. I have a feeling that we will probably end up going that route based on what i have read and with the CM limitations. Thank you!
