The recent launch of Windows Server 2012 has brought many resources online !

To help you find the right content and resources, I’ve aggregated some of them in this post. I’ll also keep it up to date as the product will evolve over time (for example, including pointers to updates and new technical white papers).

Regarding Hyper-V here are few resources that I believe are useful :

Happy discovery of Hyper-V.

Hello Igor, with this statement, I mean that Hyper-V Server is Windows Server 2012 with exclusively  the Hyper-V role. This means that you get all the capabilities of Windows Server 2012 (like the improved NTFS or the failover clustering) but not any of the roles that you can install on a regular Windows Server 2012 (for example File & Storage services). Hyper-V Server is made to exclusively be the host for virtual machines. With Hyper-V Server you also need a license for all the guests running on this host whereas with Windows Server 2012 Datacenter edition you are provided an unlimited number of virtual licences.

Can you please explain: "free operating system made just to run the virtualization stack."?
