Lifehacker has teamed up with Microsoft to help and encourage you to publish your Windows 8, Windows Phone or Windows Azure app on the Windows Store.

Whatever your idea may be, Microsoft has the tools to help. And with over $13,000 in prizes up for grabs (including six HP ENVY X2 convertibles and a major prize trip to TechEd Australia 2013 on the Gold Coast), there has never been a better time to finally work on that new idea, or port your existing app over from Android or iOS.

Entry Deadlines

Round 1 — Education theme: 3:45pm AEDT Friday 8 March to 11.59pm AEDT Thursday 28 March.
Round 1 judging begins April 2 and will be announced here on Lifehacker April 3.

Round 2 — Medical / Health theme : 9:30am AEDT Friday 29 March to 11.59pm AEDT Monday 8 April.
Round 3 — Innovation theme: 9:30am AEDT Tuesday 9 April to 11.59pm AEDT Monday 18 April.
Round 4 — Australia/n theme : 9:30am AEDT Friday 19 April to 11.59pm AEDT Monday 29 April.
Round 5 — Poverty theme: 9:30am AEDT Tuesday 30 April to 11.59pm AEDT Thursday 9 May.
Round 6 — Sport theme: 9:30am AEDT Friday 10 May to 11.59pm AEDT Monday 20 May.
