Nice new Office 2003 feature - Paste Options

Have you ever tried to copy text or images from one Office application to another and struggled with the formatting?

One neat new feature in Office 2003 is the Paste Options smart tag. When you copy from PowerPoint and paste into Word, for example, a little smart tag will show up in the bottom right corner of your newly pasted text.

 

If you click it, you get all kinds of options for how you want to paste the text. Now you can easily strip out formatting, or tell it to match the source or destination formatting. Try it out! This one saves me a lot of time.

    Btw did you know there's a "Paste Special" option in the menu which does exactly the same thing, it lets you pick what format you want to paste (clipboard items can and most do have multiple formats).
