Welcome to the new Exchange Search and Content Indexing Blog. In this Blog, we will cover how Exchange Search works in online mode, how content indexes are generated, and how to troubleshoot issues in Exchange search and content indexing. Other potential issues include the difference between searching in online and cached mode, how to do a multi-mailbox search, and the technical details of how phrase searching works.

We will focus primarily on Exchange 2010 and later versions and Exchange 2007. We will also cover Full-Text Indexing for legacy Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2000.
