Aaron Marten from the VS SDK team has a couple of posts on the new VSCT technology that replaces CTC files. DSL Tools in Visual Studio "Codename Orcas" takes advantage of this technology and if you've customized your CTC file, you'll need to do a little bit of work to port, so they're well worth a read.
