Meebo is a sweet service

So I wanted to log in quickly to my MSN messenger account and realized the machine I was on didn’t have the client. Rather than install the client I remembered that I had read about www.meebo.com, so I gave it a whirl. I’m not sure what their money making strategy is, but the service was pretty handy. Dare also recently wrote about some cool blog widgets you can add to your site, but again, I’m not sure how this makes them money.

Josh, Meebo is cool, but don't you worry about providing your passport creds to a non-Microsoft service? Most likely it's fine, but still... I always use http://webmessenger.msn.com/

I honestly didn't think about it and hadn't remembered the webmessenger thing. The other reason, however, that I'm excited about meebo is that it means I can uninstall AIM and use Meebo when I want to talk to any of the couple stallwarts I have on the AOL IM system.
