I like to read the reactions people have to the public disclosures that occur. For my part, I never blog about non-public software initiatives here. But, if Chris Capossela wants to say things about Office plans to CNet, that OK with me. BTW: He's a terrific guy- super smart (no surprise), and a great communicator.

One of my friends emailed me this morning asking if I knew of an RSS WebPart for SharePoint. I know of only this one:

I am going to take my oldest son to see Revenge of the Sith this week (I'm letting him skip a couple of hours of school so we can see the matinee- I know I shouldn't encourage playing hookie for a movie, but hey- you've got to live a little!). I keep hearing great things about this show.

Rock Thought for the Day: I listened to Frank Zappa's Hot Rats jazz/rock fusion oddity. Wildly creative. Music from the 70's continues to interest me more and more.

    How old is your son that you are taking to the movies? My 8 year old is a little bored/and scared of the Star Wars stuff.

    I am taking my oldest boy (11) to the movie today. I think he'll be alright.

    One thing that I believe has lessened the "scare impact" on kids who see movies nowadays is "special features" on DVD. When I was a kid, it was so easy to suspend my disbelief when watching a motion picture. They were magic, the result of wizards far away. Now, kids watch special features and see how everything is done, how the masks are made, the weary actors in monster costumes drinking 7Up and snacking on chips.

    When I was very small (~5 years old) I wondered how the people in commercials could be assembled to act it out repeatedly with such precision. I had not concept of them being recorded. My kids laughed hard when I told them this. It never occurred to them that things were NOT recorded.
