Forefront TMG 2010 Service Pack, Rollup, and Version Number Reference

Below you will find the Forefront Threat Management Gateway 2010 version numbers and their corresponding updates.

To find the version of TMG you are using, in your MMC, go to Help, and then "About Forefront Threat Management Gateway"

Rollup 3 for TMG 2010  SP2     7.0.9193.575 https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2735208

Rollup 4 for TMG 2010 SP2     7.0.9193.601     https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2870877

Rollup 5 for TMG 2010 SP2     7.0.9193.644     https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2954173/en-us

Note: As someone pointed out in the comments there is an order that should be followed for a brand new install.

1.) RTM

2.) Service Pack 1

3.) Update 1 for Service Pack 1

4.) Service Pack 2

5.) Latest rollup for Service Pack 2 (at time of writing it is Rollup 5)

  There is nothing publicly facing that explicitly states that rollups are cumulative but trust me when I say that they are

  Rollups are cumulative so only the last Rollup

  Romain is correct. If you have SP2 installed you can install the highest rollup available as they are cumulative.

  Are there any definite sources that state that the update rollups are indeed cumulative? Each rollup addresses different KB issues, so I doubt that they are really cumulative

    I have put all the changed files lists into Excel, if you do the same you will see that not only are all the files from older rollups in the newer ones some even stop being updated but are still included, making rollup 5 cumulative on top of SP2.
