C64 as a webserver?! ;-)

An entire Web site has been 100% developed on the Commodore 64. The little keyboard box you see there and that big huge disk drive is where the Web page is stored. So… if it takes a while for the Web site to load on your computer, especially the picture, remember the computer is only 1 Mhz in speed and only has 64 KB of RAM. The disk drive itself has only 2KB of RAM and is also running at 1 Mhz. Can you imagine how such a primitive system did this? Amazing.

I've refrenced that site a lot. It shows that the C64 is as alive today as it was years ago. The C64 is a great technical primer for young geeks. Li.. the guy that made the penguin OS started on the C64, I believe. I started with a C64.

Fast? That seems pretty slow to me. I've seen 386's dish up web pages faster then that, and of course, that is expected. Plus, the security on that bad boy has got to be great. Privilege escalation? SQL injection? Nope. Not in this 6502!
