CCF 2009 SP1 was released!
CCF 2009 SP1 was released on 31th of March. The main important features and fixed are described below.
Enhancement & Improvements
Integrated Desktop
- new features called "Dynamic Positioning": Dynamic Positioning allow developer to integrate applications which don't support the SetParent method (this method makes them inoperable);
- Citrix Enhancements: added support for running more than once instance of IAD (with integrated Citrix applications) on the same machine;
- Support 64-bit Client: CCF 2009 SP1 provides support for running CCF client (ID) on 64-bit machines, with Windows Vista.
Composite DDA
Composite DDA allowing developers to assing multiple DDAs for one application.
Hyper-V Support
CCF 2009 SP1 includes support for Microsoft Hyper-V for CCF server and client components and support for mixed enviroment (where some of the components exist on a Hyper-V, and the rest on normal machines).
Platforms
CCF 2009 SP1 includes support for SQL Server 2008 for backend databases.
Known Issues
MCE
- MCE Containers are not pre-loaded into the Visual Studio Toolbox after installation (steps for resolution can be found in the document "Customer Care Framework 2009 SP1 Release Notes");
- MCE MOSS Containers do not support Custom Error Control Path attribute;
- PhysicalProvider class is not fully extensible;
- <ContainerMappings> is required when starting a WorkUnit (steps for resolution can be found in the document "Customer Care Framework 2009 SP1 Release Notes");
- SendExternalCommand activity cannot pass parameters from a child WorkUnit ;
- MOSS container web parts without container name display an exception.
HAT
- Listen All option in HAT Test Harness displays an exception;
- RegisterActionForEvent does not support ActiveX controls when called by the default action (steps for resolution can be found in the document "Customer Care Framework 2009 SP1 Release Notes");
- Admin Console displays an error while building application Init string of a deployed java application.
Configuration Server
- Upgrading the Configuration Server database displays an error (steps for resolution can be found in the document "Customer Care Framework 2009 SP1 Release Notes").
