In Internet Explorer-8.0 site is cluttered.

If you site works in Internet explorer 7 but not with Internet Explorer.8.0

Add the following meta tag in your master page :-

<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" />

This tag exist by default in the BlueBand.master and BlueVertical.master. This tag doesn’t exist in the default.master.
