New Office & Exchange Protocol Parsers for Message Analyzer v1.2

In my previous post to the Office Interoperability blog—Discovering the Underlying Office Protocols Using Microsoft Message Analyzer—I ran through a simple demonstration of how to use Microsoft Message Analyzer (v1.1) to capture the protocol message traffic generated by a conversation between Word 2013 and a SharePoint Server 2013 site. Since then, Message Analyzer has been updated to version 1.2, and accompanying this release are 16 new protocol parsers for Office and Exchange—14 used to parse Exchange and Outlook-related protocol messages and two for parsing messages from "file synchronization via SOAP" protocols (specifically, MS-FSSHTTPB and MS-FSSHTTPD). Also included are significantly revised versions of the MS-FSSHTTP and MS-WOPI parsers.

To download the new/updated parsers, you'll need to install the most recent version of Message Analyzer v1.2. Then launch the application and download the OPN packages from the Downloads section of the Start Page. Note that the some parsers have been new to a different pack. Once an OPN package is installed, it will appear under the Settings tab.
