Bind SSL to the ROOT CA
This is the second article regarding root certificate. I will detailed the steps required to bind an SSL certificate to to the root CA.
- Open IIS Manager
- choose generate domain certificate
- fill the fields, make sure you enter the server name as common name
- Proceed with the wizard
- choose your certificate authority
- go to the certificate web site
- right click and choose edit binding
- add https and the certificate that you generated as per the below screen shot
Now you can call your certificate URL using https, which enable you to request certificate from the new windows operating system ( Vista, 7, 2008 )
