Create Affirmations in Your Mind - It is very important to repeat positive affirmations in your mind. In fact, affirmations have always been known to get many people through tough times. Affirmations help you believe what you are saying is true. There have been many people who have used the same strategy to achieve success in life. It is one of the most effective ways to manage your day in the best possible manner.

Eliminate Negative Thoughts - While managing your day, the most important key to move forward in life is to eliminate negative thoughts. When you think positive, you are able to work harder and meet deadlines. Negative thoughts can prevent you from making efforts and achieving everything you desire. Although it takes practice to identify and eliminate negative thoughts, you need to find a trigger to do so. When you wonder how to increase your productivity, you should focus on eliminating negative thoughts.

Set Your Goals and Intentions - First of all, you need to be confident and have faith in yourself. It is important to set certain goals and identify your intentions for choosing them. A mindset for success is all about staying focused. In the absence of goals, you will be unable to focus your attention on something concrete. With specific goals in your mind, you will be able to manage your day properly. You will work hard to achieve your goals.

Be Realistic - When you’re unrealistic in life about your daily goals, you may be disappointed about many things. It’s important to be realistic, and set your goals accordingly. For instance, if you want to wrap up some tasks in your office, you should focusing on wrapping up a few in the beginning. It will make sure you stick to your goals and don’t get unrealistic.

Keep Learning from Mistakes - Most people are disheartened by mistakes and failures. However, you should consider them learning opportunities. This is one of the best tips on increasing productivity. Mistakes and failures tell you where you were wrong, and what steps you could have taken to achieve desired results.

When you manage your daily tasks, it can help you move ahead in life. You should never leave anything for another time. It’s better to wrap everything up in the present. You need to make it a habit. When you don’t procrastinate, it makes sure you’re not lazy, and finish the tasks on time.

When it comes to low productivity, the primary reason is the inability to manage time and focus on important tasks. With the right attitude and approach, success is within your reach when you stop procrastinating.

If you’re positive and have the right mindset, you can accomplish anything you want. With above mentioned strategies, you will be able to manage your day in a much better manner and increase your productivity. You can also use the different tools to manage your day in the best possible manner.

Great post and agree with the recommendations. I am also a big proponent of allocating only a specific amount of time to an activity. This is a key approach I advocate for Email Management, but works for nearly any type of task or activity. The "Pomodoro technique" is a fairly popular approach, since it mixes both focused work sessions with "non-work breaks" (gives you a "reward" for your effort). But this approach has been around a long time, previously referred to as "time-boxing" or even "sprint sessions". But a key piece of this approach is to eliminate all your distractions and truly focus on that one task for the intended duration. I have found that meditation and mindfulness exercises can actually be helpful to this approach, since they help you learn to "acknowledge" and "eliminate" stray thoughts and distractions from your consciousness. The key is to really turn off all potential sources of interruptions, and make a significant and purposeful effort on that one task. And this takes effort and practice. It's not easy. Even doing a 5 minute "work sprint" is more then most people can really do at first. But if you work at it and practice, you can learn to really "get in the zone" and "flow", and true productivity and creativity will flourish. There are a number of tools and utilities that can help you with this, but you can also achieve the benefit very simply by using a timer and shutting off your phone, email, and browser! I personally suffer from "shiny object" syndrome myself (reason I study this stuff is that I am challenged by it myself!), and I find that time-boxing to be a big help in keeping me "on task"!
