Announcing: MOC Labs Online

 I’m excited and proud to announce our new virtualization based lab product. We’ve been quite busy over the last 12 months working on the product line of hosted lab offerings. Today, I’m pleased to announce the release of Microsoft Learning Labs Online , with over 40 MOC Labs Online English titles.  Microsoft Learning Labs Online takes MOC VMs, hosts them in Microsoft data centers. The VMs are then accessed through the interface below. The questions that may come to mind are:

“How does that create substantial value for my training company?”

Microsoft Learning Labs Online greatly reduce time spent on setting up labs and downloading lab images, giving training companies a chance to better utilize staff and instructors’ time. In addition, expensive hardware is not required to run Labs Online – reducing hardware upgrade costs and initial set-up costs of building new classrooms or training centers.

With Microsoft Learning Labs Online, training companies are no longer restricted to delivering training in physical classrooms which offers a lot more flexibility and the option to offer virtual classrooms.

“Will this change how training is provided?”

As an on-demand service, Microsoft Learning Labs Online offer the flexibility to add students any time before a class starts with minimal effort to install additional labs. Instructors may test labs and prepare for training anytime, anywhere. Students can access labs outside of class time up to four weeks to reinforce classroom learning. This in our opinion is one of the hidden benefits. Students can practice before, during, and after the class. Now there can be pre-class work, Microsoft Learning Labs Online, to help ensure that students are on the same page. Now students can go home during the class, use Microsoft Learning Labs Online, and come back the next day and ask smarter questions on the subject matter.

Our Certified Partners for Learning Solutions and Microsoft Certified Trainers can try the labs online now through the Courseware Library. Just log into the Courseware Library to acquire licenses for Labs Online. The code ‘trybeforeyoubuy’ at checkout will give you up to 10 free licenses. Limit: one coupon per partner. If you are a student you will have to wait until the next time you are in class to experience Labs Online. If the class doesn’t use Labs Online, please ask the class provider to start doing so. J
