Microsoft, Open Source and the CodePlex Foundation

Today the CodePlex Foundation announced the addition of the Orchard Project to it’s ASP.NET Gallery. Orchard is a free, open source, community-focused project aimed at delivering applications and reusable components using the ASP.NET platform. It’s first focus will be on delivering a .NET-based CMS application, and an extensibility framework allowing developers and customizers to provide additional functionality through extensions and themes.

It joins the ASP.NET Ajax Library as an open source application. This library enables you to build database-driven web applications that execute entirely within the web browser. It supports client data access, client templates, and has more than 40 controls including autocomplete, masked edit etc.

Microsoft Silverlight is not supported on your computer. Your CPU does not support the SSE instruction set which is required by Silverlight. bhaaaa
