New Antigen category in WSUS

WSUS Admins,

A new product family called Antigen will be added to your WSUS server in the next few days. The Antigen product category will include updates, including service packs, optional updates, and critical or security updates, for the Microsoft® Antigen 9 for Exchange and Microsoft® Antigen 9 for SMTP. Antigen product updates are going to be offered through Microsoft Update and WSUS. Updates offered through this category will apply only to computers running Antigen 9 for Exchange and SMTP with Service Pack 1 version or later.     Some improvements to WSUS are needed badly!!

  1. I don't have any Itanium systems. I want the option to never include those updates in my list of unapproved updates.
  2. Better granularity on which products are in my update list.
  3. Some automation when it comes to declining superseded updates. When an update is released that supersedes another one, the superseded update should be declined automatically. Shouldn't it?

    Quite agree with Chris...We fixed WSUS recently in the company. It haas been working 1 year but didn't push updates because of Group Policy error (not my fault, I came in January). When we fixed GP, I found that I needed to go through the about 2500 updates and manually decide to approve or decline every single patch. Of course, I decline ALL superseded updates, in spite of Microsoft advises to make a research on them and consider carefully. Are you joking ? Two and half thousands!!   It should be done automatically. At least when you release supersiding update, you can analyze what it does better then ordinary admin and include automatic declining for those which really substitute everything previous. And if some of them only make  add-on why to name them "superceding" ?
