New category under Developer Tools, Runtimes, and Redistributables

A new product category called Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime will be added under the product family called Developer Tools, Runtimes, and Redistributables. The new category will include updates for the Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime Redistributables.     Can you draw the connection(s) between WSS and Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime?  The linked page doesn't mention SharePoint/WSS/MOSS.
