Service Pack 1 for Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010 was released to Microsoft Update and Windows Server Update Services earlier today, Tuesday, June 28.

This service pack includes many interesting improvements and is also a rollup of all fixes that have previously been released for Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010 products.     To expand on Raymond's post we are seeing the exact same thing on wsus.  I pushed out Office 2010 SP1 (KB2510690) 32 bit edition but if users check microsoft online for updates they have the following update "pending".  Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB2510690) 32 bit edition (25.2MB)  This is obviously a sub set of the service pack (because of its size) applied to a particular product but I can not figure out which one for the life of me.  WSUS shows nothing for Office 2010 SP1 on any of the office products.

    hi - is there any way of hiding this from WSUS? I've set Approval for this to Not Approved and even Remove but all computers show up with this as Updates Needed, skewing the green pie chart results in WSUS 3 as a result...

    I have the same issue in our enviroment. Anyone have a solution? The Office 2010 sp1 on WSUS is sying it's not needed by my clients machines. Yet if I check Windows Updates online from MS, there it is needing an install.

    The "Service Pack 1 for Language Pack (KB2460043) 32-bit Edition" is not detected as Needed by our WSUS clients. It is detected when checking online for updates from Microsoft Update. I recently also noticed that two different versions of IE9 were offered to our Windows 7 x64 clients, one released in April and one released in June, with no apparent difference in description. I have now declined the April version, I'm guessing that was the version that asks the user if it should install, whereas the recent version does not? If so, it would be nice if this was communicated a little better, or did I miss something?

    Gerard; got much of the same "problem" as you. Update logs on computers says SP1 for Office 2010 is installed, but manually running Windowsupdate offers it for install...

    Same thing here.  i apply SP1 for 2010 via wsus and it says it installed ok and is no longer needed. When going to Microsoft Update it shows it is needed and installs again.
