Install Windows Mobile 5.0 on Vista

Windows Mobile 5.0 requires .Net Framework 1.1. Windows Vista comes with .Net Framework 3.0.

When I tried to install WM5 Adaptation Kit (which includes Platform Builder 5.0) on Vista, the installation program asked me to install .Net Framework 1.1. Otherwise, it will quit.

The solution is simple: just follow this link (https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en) to install the 1.1 package. Don't worry about having multiple .Net Frameworks on the same machine - the run-time will be able to figure out which one to load.

On my Vista box, after the installation of the 1.1 package, I have v1.1.4322, v2.0.50727, v3.0 as three folders in the machine's %windir%\Microsoft.NET\framework\ directory. There is also a v1.0.3705 folder but it doesn't seem to have the real stuff in there.
