Group Policy Management Console Uninstall

Group Policy Management Console is used to :

a) Create Group Policies
b) Edit Group Policies
c) Delete Group Policies
d) Configure Security Filtering
e) Configure Delegation permissions
f) Group Policy Modelling
g) View Group Policy Results ( local and Remote )
h) Configure WMI Filtering

GPMC provides Administrators or delegated users to manage Group Policies, but GPMC would not have any impact if it gets uninstall. To detail out the discussion, In Windows Server 2012 / Windows Server 2008 , navigate to  Server Manager --> Manage --> Remove Roles and Features  --> select the Server from Server Pool --> select Active Directory Domain Services --> Next --> Uncheck Group Policy Management  option would only uninstall the GPMC from the server , and does not modify or have any impact on the below:

a) Group Policies
b) Security Filtering
c) GPO Delegation
d) Logon script configuration
e) Policy definition files ( ADMX , ADML , ADM files )
f) SYSVOL folder
g) GPO GUID's
h) Regpol.ini

You can always re-install back the GPMC by following the above procedure and install Group Policy Management console on the Server or Workstation. Post re-installation , you could still view the OU structure being populated and the GPO's configured earlier would still be retained with all the permissions / security filtering in place.
