Test Lab Guides for Business Intelligence in SharePoint Server 2013
The SharePoint Server 2013 Business Intelligence test lab allows you to install, configure, and demonstrate the business intelligence scenarios and solutions of SharePoint Server 2013.
The following figure shows the configuration of the SharePoint Server 2013 Business Intelligence test lab, which uses the same set of computers as the SharePoint Server 2013 three-tier farm test lab.
The following Test Lab Guide (TLG) content for Business Intelligence in SharePoint Server 2013 is available:
- Create a Business Intelligence Baseline Environment
- Configure Excel Services
- Configure Visio Services
- Configure PerformancePoint Services
- Configure Secure Store
- Configure the Excel Services unattended service account
- Configure Excel Services data refresh by using an embedded connection
- Configure Excel Services data refresh by using an external connection
- Configure the Visio Services unattended service account
- Configure Visio Services data refresh using an external connection
- Configure data access for PerformancePoint Services
These TLGs use the Base Configuration TLG, the Install SQL Server 2012 TLG, the SharePoint Server 2013 three-tier farm TLG, and the Installing Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 on CLIENT1 mini-module.
Note that although the SharePoint Server 2013 three-tier farm TLG allows for the use of SQL Server 2008 R2 on SQL1 as an alternative, the SharePoint Server 2013 Business Intelligence TLG stack requires the use of SQL Server 2012. If you have already set up your 3-tier farm test lab with SLQ Server 2008 R2, you must upgrade SQL1 with SQL Server 2012 before implementing the Business Intelligence TLGs.
