Exception: Cannot alter the role 'SPSearchDBAdmin', because it does not exist or you do not have permission.  

Cannot drop the role 'SPSearchDBAdmin', because it does not exist or you do not have permission. b3ef7f9c-7771-207f-eaa2-0a8c2d5789d9

After the March PU installation on SharePoint 2013 environment, during config wizard running failed with above error.

 

Troubleshooting

Checked the Role mentioned above it has access to database but still it did not work,

 

Solution

Make SPF admin account as sysadmin. Then run psconfig. It succeeds.
