Troubleshooting Hyper-V: Event ID 29140 during Planned Failover
Event Details:
Event ID: 29140
Cannot initiate synced replication for virtual machine <VM Name> while it is running or in a saved state. (Virtual machine ID <VM ID>)
Possible Causes:
Planned failover is initiated on a running VM in a primary site. [If done through WMI level]
Resolution:
Shut down the VM and restart the planned failover.
