WMI Filters with Group Policy

Introduction

When applying the GPO set of rules with our company, from time to time we may not apply to every rule, every computer. For example, only 32-bit or 64-bit installation packages with only a file to a computer with an opposite cannot be apply architecture. It is exactly at this point, WMI Filter grow our distress. What does it do? GPO during deployment, I give below some of the features making distinctions according to the rules allows us to deploy the appropriate person or computer. Another advantage of this situation, the rules unnecessary to refer to other computers and from both places, as well as make savings from network traffic.

Operating System: 

  • Operating system type, model, architecture, operating system, language, etc... 

Hardware: 

  • Disc Manufacturer, RAM size, brand, model, processor architecture, brand and model of your motherboard make and model etc...
