Exchange 2010 Troubleshooting: Event ID 531 - Database Corruption

On event viewer you might see Event ID 531 - ESE - Data corruption:

Solution:

Open up iSCSI and find where that DB is connected and then click the Connect button again. This will refresh the connection. All alerts should stop after that. Otherwise, check for a failing or failed disk on your storage.

This issue may also be due to a faulty connection to the SAN or other storage issues but can also be due to database corruption in which case the best thing to do will be to create a new mailbox database and move the mailboxes into it.
