Cause
This event is thrown when an application causes a delay during the Windows shutdown process. This delay could be caused by operating system services, third-party software issues or conflicts with the operating system.
User Action
- Check with the third-party software company to determine if this issue is known and if an update is available which addresses this issue.
- Boot in Safe Mode and then Shut down. The problem goes away?
- Disable the software executable detailed in the event message. Shut down to determine if the problem goes away.
