Power BI: Usage analytics for Microsoft Teams adoption

It’s increasingly conspicuous that comprehensive data analytics are critical for a successful Microsoft Teams roll out, users adoption and change management strategy.

And Power BI has become an integral component to bring values to business with insightful data, adjust Teams adoption strategies, fine-tune change management and help organizations get the best out of it.

For example: based on an empirical Power BI report, it’s visibly observed that all users are using Teams on Windows Desktops/PCs with a handful of users using it on Mobile devices – that statically and meaningfully translates that we need to plan a targeted training for users on what they can do on the go in Teams on mobile at the same time be productive. That’s exactly how data analytics using Power BI is helping organizations improve successful Teams (other Office365 services, such as OneDrive, Exchange Online, etc) adoption and adjust required change management strategies based on actionable data.

In another example, if you do not see expected Teams PSTN calling usages in Power BI reports though Teams users are enabled with PSTN calling ( users are still making PSTN calls using SFB client, assumed that SFB and Teams are running side by side in Island Upgrade  Mode) . Or that nudges you to call for a briefing session for users to accentuate organization’s Teams adoption strategy that to make PSTN calling using Teams before it does full swing to Teams Only Upgrade Mode. That’s how instructive usage analytics in Power BI is in driving successful Teams (other Office365 services, such as OneDrive, Exchange Online, etc)adoption in organizations.

Having a comprehensive usage patterns, trends, actionable data, insights and statistics is a chain that joins and completes the whole change management and successful Teams (other Office365 services, such as OneDrive, Exchange Online, etc) adoption.

And usage analytics in Power BI does enable us to do just that.
