Windows 10: Configuring Typing Insights

Introduction:

One of the features of Windows 10 version 1809 is Typing insights. Windows 10 includes AI technology which helps to improve typing efficiency. As one types it automatically corrects mistakes in Words, helps in autocomplete, provides suggested words, keystrokes saved, spelling correction, swiped words.

 

How to:

  • Open Settings.
  • Click on Devices.
  • Click on Typing.
  • Under "How AI has helped you," click the Typing insights option.
  • Turn on or off the Typing insights toggle switch depending on your preference

Statistics

The five features will show the numbers of each action performed by the users against them. These are:

 

  • AutoCompleted words
  • Suggested words
  • Keystrokes saved
  • Spelling corrections
  • Swiped words

Once we enable this feature it will help us to avoid grammatical mistakes, improves typing skill. The statistics that are displayed, which ultimately help our writing English correctly. It helps to save time and type efficiently.
