The variance formula calculates the variance within a group of data.

double Variance(System::String ^ inputSeriesName, bool sampleVariance);
public double Variance (string inputSeriesName, bool sampleVariance);

Public Function Variance (inputSeriesName As String, sampleVariance As Boolean) As Double
Parameters
- inputSeriesName
- String
Name of the Series object that stores the data for which the mean value is required.
- sampleVariance
- Boolean
Specify true
if the data is a sample of a population; and false
if the data is the entire population.
Returns
Variance within the group of data.
