Business value
Customers needing to print checks with MICR fonts can now do so in Business Central online.
Feature details
In update 15.3, we will add fonts for MICR (E13-B and CMC-7) and Security fonts for checks to the Business Central production and sandbox environments.
This means that any custom layouts using MICR and security fonts will work.
We have licensed the font packages provided by IDAutomation Inc.
You can now start testing the fonts. See these documentation pages for more information about font types and sizes:
- https://www.idautomation.com/micr-fonts/cmc7/
- https://www.idautomation.com/security-fonts/
For testing purposes, you can download demo versions of the fonts here:
- https://www.idautomation.com/micr-fonts/cmc7/download.html
- http://downloads.idautomation.com/IDAutomation_SecurityFontsDEMO.zip
You will need to install the demo versions of the fonts in your developer environments in order to design reports.
- For a Windows environment, install the fonts.
- For a sandbox Docker environment, download and install the demo fonts locally. Then use the Add-FontsToNavContainer PowerShell cmdlet to add fonts to the container, as described in the blog post NavContainerHelper 0.3.1.0 and a new Docker Generic build 0.0.6.6.
