Using telemetry signals for cloud migration set up and replication runs helps you keep track of your ongoing migrations across your environments.
Feature details
In the previous release wave, we started emitting the first telemetry signals related to the cloud migration tools by introducing signals on the data upgrade operation, which administrators run after replicating data to the cloud environment. In 2023 release wave 1, we are completing the set of telemetry signals we emit for cloud migration tooling by adding signals on cloud migration setup and replication runs.
With these added signals, you can now more easily report on cloud migrations running for all environments you administer, and the Power BI app for administrators is also updated with visuals that create an overview of your cloud migrations. Additionally, these signals can be used to alert on certain events, for example, when a replication run completes.
