Business value
Pages in Business Central have a navigation bar and action bar. We've optimized these areas of the Business Central client so that they run faster and consume less resources. This means customers who use the modern client will get a faster experience.
We also improved the speed of opening a card from a list.
Feature details
In this release, we've optimized loading the navigation and action bar areas of pages in the Business Central client:
- For users running on modern, fast computers, the loading of the navigation bar and the action bar is up to two times faster (from 180 milliseconds to 80 ms).
- For users running on older hardware, the loading of the navigation bar and the action bar is up to three times faster (from 5,200 ms to 1,700 ms).
We also improved the speed of opening a card from a list. Specifically, users should expect to see improvements for the following scenarios:
- For list and card pages where the environment has extensions that extend the table underneath the page.
- For list-to-card page navigations, where the user has done a complicated filter or search on the list prior to opening the card.
- For environments where the list contains a lot of data.
