Business value
The Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability energy data model provides a complete view of your organization’s energy profile across generation, purchase, and usage (supply and demand side). Monitor, track, and report on generated, purchased, and used energy for your portfolio, independent from the carbon tracking available within Microsoft Sustainability Manager. Identify areas of energy waste and inefficiency, mitigate risks related to energy supply, and ensure more resilient operations.
Feature details
The Cloud for Sustainability energy data model provides a robust structure for you to track generated, purchased, and used energy in Sustainability Manager. It provides the following benefits to your sustainability analysis and reporting:
- A holistic view of energy usage, capturing data on different types of energy sources along with renewable energy generation and procurement.
- Required components to uncover cost-saving opportunities by reducing energy waste and optimizing energy procurement.
- Transparent reporting of energy-related metrics and sustainability performance to internal and external stakeholders.
- Extensibility and connectivity to Sustainability data solutions in Microsoft Fabric.
This feature builds on the existing Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability data model.
